I wanted to give a big THANK YOU to all who gave support and encouragement as I worked to inform Orem citizens about important issues during my campaign.
I believe the election results are cause for celebration. The property tax increase was rejected. Richard Brunst was elected in spite of the tens of thousands poured into the campaign of the other mayoral candidate, and David Spencer who actively promoted the referendum will be on the city council. Participating in the election process as a candidate was a wonderful experience and I know there will be many opportunities in the future (in city, county and elsewhere) to take a stand for principles such as personal property rights and the proper role of government.
